If you are unable to see your sensors on the Map overview display in the AlphaX system, there are a few potential reasons and solutions to consider. This guide will walk you through the troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue.

1. Sensor Offline and Keep Alive Setting

If a sensor appears to be offline, it may not be visible on the Map overview. However, you can correct this by adjusting the Keep Alive value on the device’s edit page. Please note that the Keep Alive value only affects the User Interface and not the sensor itself. Follow these steps to update the Keep Alive value:

  • Log in to the AlphaX system and navigate to the device’s edit page.
  • Locate the Keep Alive setting and enter the desired value in seconds (no maximum or minimum limit).
  • Save the changes and check if the sensor becomes visible on the Map overview.
2. Hidden Device Channels

In some cases, a sensor may not show up on the Map overview due to hidden device channels. To address this, follow these steps to unhide the desired channels:

  • Access the device’s edit page in the AlphaX system.
  • Look for the channels section and click on it.
  • Check if any channels are hidden and unhide the ones you want to display on the Map overview.
  • Save the changes and verify if the sensor now appears on the Map overview with the desired channels.
3. Missing Latitude and/or Longitude

Another possible reason for a sensor’s absence on the Map overview is the lack of latitude or longitude values. To ensure accurate placement on the map, check if the latitude and longitude coordinates are properly selected for the device. Here’s how you can verify and update the location information:

  • Go to the device’s edit view within the AlphaX system.
  • Locate the Location section and ensure that the latitude and longitude are entered correctly.
  • Verify that the device is shown accurately on the map by checking its position.
  • Save any changes made and check if the sensor is now visible on the Map overview.
