How to use the ‘Time Series Analysis’ tool to visualise and compare data of multiple sensors on a graph

Print

1. On the left of your screen, within the main navigation bar, there is a section named “DATA SCIENCE”. Under this section, you can find the navigation for ‘Time Series Analysis’.

2. By clicking the link you will be redirected to the analysis page.

3. Select the sensors you would like to analyse using the select box provided. You can select multiple sensors for analysis.

4. As you select your sensor, if the sensor has data for the pre-set time range, it will be displayed on the graph.

5. To change the date-time range for the graph, click on the ‘Calendar-time’ widget displayed on the top-right corner of the graph. You can select the fixed date-time range to view data or you can create a custom range by clicking on the first date and the second date on the calendar and click ‘Apply’. You can change the time range as well. The graph will render with new data according to the selected date-time range.

6. You can toggle(hide/show) the data from the graph for a particular sensor by clicking on the name of the sensor displayed on the bottom-middle area of the graph.

7. You can also change the visualisation of the graph by clicking the buttons available on the top of the graph. You can view data as a Line chart, Bar chart, Area chart and Scatter chart.

8. You can view the data of the sensors on a table by clicking the “Table” button and also can view the data on a map by clicking the “Map” button.

There are another two ways to view and analyse different sensor/s data using graph. Follow the steps to do that.

1. Compare the sensors of multiple devices in a graph

1.1 On the left of your screen, within the main navigation bar, there is a section named “NETWORK MANAGEMENT”. Under this section, you can find the navigation for “Devices”.

1.2 Then search for the devices that you want to compare on a graph and select them.Click on “Analysis” button on the top of the list and it will load all the sensors for those devices.

2. Compare the sensors of single device in a graph

2.1 Again navigate to “Nodes”.

2.2 Then search for the device that you want to analyse on a graph and click on the “Analysis” button.

2.3 Then you will be redirected to the analysis page of the device.
